Pour le calendrier de l'avent d'[community profile] amours_de_fans, j'ai recommandé le podcast Malevolent, de l'horreur lovecraftienne avec un de mes tropes préférés, forcés-de-travailler-ensemble-pour-un-but-commun qui se change peu à peu en relation émotionnelle.

Crafts - Malevolent

Malevolent is a podcast I've been listening to recently. There are 20 episodes for now, about 45 minutes each, it's updated every month.

The universe is lovecraft-like (1920-ish America, horror with Eldritch monsters, some from Lovecraft, some from a largest mythos. There is, fortunately, no racism. There are not a lot of female character, but the poscaster has the excuse that he's alone on it, doing all the voices)

The main character, Arthur, is a detective. One day, he reads a weird book. When he wakes up, his partner is dead. And he can't see anything. But there is a voice in his head: I have your eyes. From now on, he's sharing his body with a mysterious creature.
The sharing body with a monster is, of course, a way to allow lots of descriptions in what is only an auditory experience, because we don't see anything, either.
But also, the codependant relationship between Arthur and the creature, where they are forced to ally and compromise and investigate together about what happened, is fascinating.
Me at the beginning: yeah, I guess you could ship them.
Me right now: OMG I ship them so hard first degree!

But unlike how it looks, I'm not here to advertise the podcast, but to show my crafts. In episode... 16 I think, there's a cute flying salamander. I mean, it's a cave monster, technically, but it doesn't sound evil, and it's rare.
It has no name but the fandom names it Blinky.
So I sewed it! As well as I could, given the descriptions.

It’s… it’s... it’s a strange flying creature… It’s only about a yard long. It has large bright white eyes that shine in the darkness - it’s staring at us, softly moving its fin like hands as if... wading in the air. [...] It looks like a salamander of some sort, long tendril-like whiskers drawn out from its face. A long, thin tail wafts almost weightlessly behind it. Oh... It’s circling us curiously.
