What I love:
* I love pining, especially on the PoV of the piner. Lots of angst! Can be from the point of view of the other person, though, f they understand the situation
* I love dialogue: mundane, double meanings, epic love confessions with a bad ending...
* Romantic tropes like sharing a bed, pretending to date, but make it one-sided.
* Focus on the supernatural elements of the worldbuilding.
* Skilled characters
* Admiration / Hero worship / Actual worship turning into love
* Ethical dilemmas (love vs ethics, hurting the person you love by telling the truth vs lying to them, etc)
* Unrequited love manifests as submissive tendencies (sexually or not) or self-sacrificing tendencies
* Unrequited love becomes violent and/or self-destructive
* While it doesn't work for every ship, I love smut and pining while fucking and angsty masturbation!

Do Not Want:
* All kinds of AUs except canon divergence. Even in canon divergence, I'd rather characters keep their canon personality and most of their history
* Love at first sight. Mention of any character being in love/lust of another only for their looks.
* Cheating (emotional cheating of the A gets with C to get over B who doesn't want them is alright, so is poly)
* Unrequested non-canon ships.
* Mentions of pregnancy.
* Medical themes (especially syringes), non-canon injuries with lasting effects, pandemics.
* Any non-canon apocalyptic or post-apocalyptic universe. Focus on mass death in general. Non-canon character death except if requested in a prompt.
* Character bashing (especially of an alternate romantic interest)
* Underage sex under 14 yo (can be mentioned as backstory only if canon)
* Accidental/Arranged Marriage, De-Aging, Gender or sex swap, soulmates/soulmarks (soulbonds are okay)
* Trans headcanons, gender as a theme.
* Humor based on misunderstandings, incompetence or humiliation (all these things can be in the fic, but not funny)



Buffy the vampire slayer

Andrew Wells for Warren Mears

Andrew is a pathetic loser but I love him very much. He can be taken seriously or not in the fic.
Go free with nerd references, they're the salt of this ship. Weird scence and demon summoning shenanigans are welcome.
They can do evil things in the fic like in canon, or they can have totally normal nerdy activities. But even when I say no character bashing, of course, they're still their canon-typical asshole selves

Optional prompts:
- Andrew is a disaster who won't stop making the worse freudian slips about wanting Warren. Warren is so heteronormative he doesn't even notice.
- When they play tabletop roleplaying games, Andrew plays pretty women. He pretends that he likes pretty women (and probably he does, a bit), but he actually uses them to romance Warren's male characters.
- Warren knows very well that Andrew likes him, and uses it to make him agree with him in the Troika decisions even when he wouldn't have otherwise.

I'm interested in canon divergences where they actually met, but if you just want to have Mikami having wild romantic fantasies from a distance while Light is just using hm, it can be very interesting too!

I love alternate universes where they travelled together for a while before Ten discovered his companion Yana was the Master. Anyway, they had alchemy, and it's doomed, and I trust you to add unrequited romantic feelings to make it even more tragic and doomed, in any direction! You could also go after Yana is revealed as the Master and one of them being so sad and/or furious about the feelings he had.

Doing science together is canon-typical and an excellent trope, especially if both of them have the oportunity to be brilliant. Telepathy is good, unreqiuted feelngs you can see as if you were here. But really, do what you want, give me more of my rare ship!


Marvel 616

Bennet du Paris for Erik Magnus Lehnsherr

Any era, from the 90s to the modern arcs with Exodus back, though not his evolution in recent comics, not good for my ship.
A doesn't think they deserve B's love because they betrayed them in the past: I like it as a reference of Exodus' treatment of depowered!Magneto in Carey's Legacy arc.
The "no non-canon unrequited pairings" doesn't apply to Xavier/Magneto UST, if you like it for extra angst.

I love courtly devotion, Exodus being celibate, maybe asexual, maybe still religious but very repressed, seeing his pining as a proof of weakness/immorality to not only feel admiration like he should. I love jealousy though, with denial (of Megneto's girlfriends, of Fabian Cortez...)
I really love all the psychic shenanigans that are possible, go wild.
Of course first encounter is always good, a tantalizing hole in the timeline.


Illyana Rasputin for Kitty Pryde

Any era! Original New Mutants, Bendis era, modern era...
Please feel free to discard alternate love interests (except for Piotr, which is an important part of Kitty and Illyana's relationship in the first place - I mean you don't have to mention him, but no AU where he doesn't exist, and Illyana can totally be jealous about him)

I love the darkest side of Illyana and how it can manifest physically in Limbo.


Warlock for Douglas Ramsey

Any era! Original New Mutants, Zeb Wells' Necrosha is perfect too, X-factor if you totally ignore the thing with Danger (I didn't like it), Hickman era with Warlock jealous of Bei... (i haven't followed post-Krakoa but if there's some very interesting canon interaction you want to use, just give me the ref)

I love fics that explore how alien Warlock's body and culture are. He sure comes from a planet where romantic relationships and sexual reproductions aren't even things, and he gets thrown into some teenage drama.

I adored the canon part where Doug was controlled by Selene in Necrosha, and Warlock's creepy cute mourning in New Mutants 64.
I love every kind of superhero nonsense adventure tropes, even if it's not here, use of superpowers, combinations between them (the part where Doug reprograms Magus had the potential to be terrifying for Warlock if he didn't trust Doug so much). Go wild!


Mo dao zu shi

Wen Ning for Wei Wuxian

I love them when Web Ning was still alive and got a crush at first sight on someone being nice to him, while he's betraying his family, or after when he's a fierce corpse, in the Burial Mounds or during the time skip (he still heard this music!) or by the time of canon, all is good.

I love necromancy in this canon, feel free with the necromancy worldbuilding

I see Wei Wuxian very oblvous about it, but also, even if he knew, maybe he would pretend not to, to avoid a difficult conversation?

Optional prompts:
- Wen Ning feels comflicted about betraying his clan just for a few nice words told to him once, but he can't stop himself.
- Wei Wuxian feels just a bit guilty because as a fierce corpse, Wen Ning is totally subject to his will, and Wen Ning doesn't mins as muc as he should.
- Being a fierce corpse is quite painful and Wei Wuxian experiments with some musics to make the pain go away. Some of them are actually quite pleasurable and Wen Ning is very flustered about it (but can't explain why)
- Wen Ning was a prisoner for more than ten years and he really thought he'd never see Wei Wuxian again. He thought about him a lot, though.
- Wen Ning is stalking Wei Wuxian and Lang Wangji's romance quite a bit, before deciding he'd better get out.


Noir

Chloe for Kirika

I was so invested in them, I love how it has some sad, contemplative, even soft moments, and then Chloe can jump to dubcon kissing or murder attempts just like that.

Can be when they're kids or a bit before the show, before Kirika loses her memory, or during the show. Canon divergence is welcome too. Kirika/Mireille or Kirika->Mireille is welcome but not mandatory.

Izzy Hands for Edward Teach

I love pre-canon, especially some kind of sea adventures/magical adventures/fake dating shenanigans.

I love during s1 (when I took the "get ready for a date" prompt I was thinking about this tweet about Izzy putting bows in Ed's beard), or during early s2, when it's darker, or late s2, where Izzy should be resigned about losing the love triangle except you're writing for me so he's not.

Fandom additional DNW: any kind of Izzy/Stede, or even either of them being nicer to the other than in the canon.


Serial Experiments Lain

Lain for Alice

I love the beginnng with Lain having no idea about what her feelings are, about what feelings in general are, but feeling that it's kind of very good and also kind of hurts.

And I also love the ending with her being an all powerful Eldritch being who loves Alice very much.


Trigun (manga and first anime)

Legato Bluesummers for Millions Knives

I love both manga and anime timelines.
For the medical thing/injuries with lasting effects, it doesn't apply to canon ones!

I love Knives being very mean, either naturally or surcompensating for accepting Legato's company and feeling bad about it.
Legato's pining car be purely romantic or include some desperate sexual fantasies, your choice. But I love when he's very much excessive about it.

Optional prompts:
* Knives hates humans. He learnt that Legato will accept any physical torture from him, and that he can hurt him more efficiently just by telling him how he dislikes Legato / how he likes Vash.
* Legato would do anything to be useful to Knives, even if he knows his feelings will stay unrequited always. Knives can accept this.
* Legato things about Knives always, he is ashamed of his fantasies (you can make them sexual, you can make them romantic) but it won't stop him.
