Date: 2025-01-27 04:48 pm (UTC)* A favorite mythical creature -- not original, but 100% a dragon. I am very weak for dragons, and when I was younger would read anything with dragons in it, regardless of any other merits :P
* A favorite canon queer ship -- I can't think of one on the level of OTP, so here's the most recent canonical queer ship I loved: Ruth/Sol (f/f) in Lady Eve's Last Con.
* One of the smallest fandom you're in -- Dragaera books by Steven Brust (at least it's small by the measure of the number of fics on AO3)
* A favourite poem -- Philip Larkin's "Aubade"
* A favourite fairy tale -- the Russian fairy tale "Finist the Bright Falcon"
no subject
Date: 2025-01-27 05:56 pm (UTC)And yes, dragons are very good. <3

Date: 2025-01-27 05:59 pm (UTC)Oh good! (it is kind of a depressing poem to randomly spring on someone, in retrospect, oops XD)

* One of the smallest fandom you're in: les romans SF/F LGBT, par ex.
* A favourite fairy tale: Aladdin
no subject

Date: 2025-01-27 06:30 pm (UTC)I don't know these poems at all, I need to check translations!
OOoh yeah I know this tale too! The way a guy can't follow simple rules always angered and saddened me (not that the guys who don't have supernatural rules against hitting their wives should, but here it's stupid in addition to being evil)

Date: 2025-01-27 06:34 pm (UTC)* A favorite canon queer ship: Tobias Beecher/Chris Keller from the show "Oz." Super toxic though.
* One of the smallest fandom you're in: My main fandom, for the show "Forever Knight."
* A favourite poem: Saltwater
* A favourite fairy tale: The Goose Girl. I had a collection of Grimms' Fairy Tales as a kid and for whatever reason, I really liked this rather dark story.
no subject
Date: 2025-01-28 07:37 am (UTC)Yeah, I heard about this ship, I don't mind toxic at all!
Thank you for the poem, it's very beautiful!

Date: 2025-01-27 07:35 pm (UTC)A favourite mythical creature: Kelpies and water-horses can be an eerie, evocative piece of description, pleasingly weird or startlingly brutal in different stories.
A favourite canon queer ship: Alan/Davie in the Kidnapped play!
One of the smallest fandoms I'm in: Hmm. Defining 'fandom' as something I have long-persisting fannish feelings about and have created fanwork for, I think Peccavi by E. W. Hornung is close to the smallest.
A favourite poem: 'Sing Me a Song of a Lad that is Gone' (i.e. 'The Skye Boat Song, no, not that one') by Robert Louis Stevenson.
A favourite fairy tale: 'The Trinity Flower' by Juliana Horatia Ewing.
no subject
Date: 2025-01-28 07:52 am (UTC)I sure learned very recently that people were fannish about Horneng's books other than Raffles!
And thank you for the fairy tale, I didn't know it at all!

Date: 2025-01-27 07:38 pm (UTC)Favorite canon queer ship: Squalo and Tiziano from JJBA (or at least... favorite that doesn't necessitate playing weird games with the definition of "canon", that is...)
Smallest Fandom You're In: Probably Promethean: The Created
Favorite Poem: Love Song For Two Vampires by Dante Emile
Favorite Fairy Tale: Either Donkeyskin or Red Riding Hood
no subject
Date: 2025-01-28 07:54 am (UTC)I never played Promethean but it seemed cool!

Date: 2025-01-27 09:21 pm (UTC)* A favorite mythical creature:
Alebrijes! (If you kinda ignore they were first and foremost folk art.)
* A favorite canon queer ship
Hulkling and Wiccan <3
* A favourite poem
I'm not a big poetry fan, but "The Pelican Chorus" by Edward Lear. (And I love the song cover Cosmo Sheldrake made about it too.)
* A favourite fairy tale
The rabbit on the moon

Date: 2025-01-27 09:24 pm (UTC)Smallest fandom: Nyanko/Wanko to Mahou no Boushi, which is small enough that all 5 fics on AO3 for it are mine. I love it very dearly! (A slightly weird thing about it is it's a game with a different confusing name in every region. I've used the Japanese name but it was brought under the Petz brand elsewhere, as a version of "Catz" or "Dogz" in Europe or "Petz Catz 2" and "Petz Dogz 2" in the US. No idea what it's supposed to be a sequel to, since it's completely disconnected from the Petz brand as a game.)
Favourite Poem: oh, this is a tough one. It might be an odd choice but I've always been really attached to "Bottles" from the game Doki Doki Literature Club, which I would assume was written by Dan Salvato (although in-game it's written by the character Sayori, a teenage girl who's increasingly struggling with her mental health). I was also a struggling teenager when the game came out and found it extremely relatable to how I felt at the time

* A favorite canon queer ship
* One of the smallest fandom you're in
Bandersnatch, un épisode de Black Mirror
* A favourite poem
* A favourite fairy tale

4. Wait by Galway Kinnell
5. The Brave Little Tailor, maybe?
