Top 5 f/f ships I discovered in 2022
Date: 2023-02-27 09:23 am (UTC)Do the enemies to lovers arc need to be canon, or only ships that I love as enemies to lovers? Also, does friends to enemies to lovers (think Adora/Catra) count?
But new ships on 2022:
1) Christabel/Geraldine (Christabel - Coleridge). I talked about it a few days ago, why did no one tell me about the medieval mind control girls before? :D
2) Harriet/Gretel (Gingerbread - Helen Oyeyemi). Such a good unhealthy relationship, the kind where you can still see why they care about each other, and the ending was the best thing for the characters but frustrating for me
3) Cassie/Aftran (Animorphs). I read this series decades after everyone, and count on me to ship the mind control slug with a conscience
4) Bill/Heather (Doctor Who). Very late on this show. s10 had a very romantic f/f ending
5) Ianthe/Coronabeth (Locked Tomb). It was already a big ship in the fandom, I was aware of it, but damn, it's their reunion in Nona the Ninth that sold me the ship for the first time.

Absolutely.
Thanks for sharing! I think it's time for me to read Locked Tomb, based on all I'm hearing about it! Gingerbread also looks like something I'd enjoy.
Have you read The Raven and the Reindeer by T Kingfisher? I think you'd like it if you liked Gingerbread.

Date: 2023-02-27 10:53 pm (UTC)Though really, most of them are tropes I like to see in any relationship, but it might be just a little different
1) leader/devoted underling (includes princess and bodyguard, but not only)
2) weird introvert girl/girl who's effortlessly nice to her
3) enemies to lovers. Or friends to enemies to lovers. both are good. aaah, lovers to enemies is good too. all the specter
4) nerds nerding together (bonus if they're nerds of totally different things and find common ground)
5) teammates to lovers
