Of those two, it depends on how you deal with experimental stuff. Alice Isn’t Dead is rather straightforward but Mabel is…deeply weird. I mean, I t’s good and I enjoyed it but it is hard to listen at times because all the weird noises, especially after S1.

Forest 404 and Within the Wires. The first is 9 episodes long eco-thriller, the second is seven seasons and counting, but each season is its own story, told via tapes.

I listened to the first half of Alice Isn't Dead years ago and then forgot about it. No fault of the podcast! It was excellent. You have reminded me that I must listen to the second half. It's good, scary horror of the "classical" kind (I don't know what word to use exactly. I mean it's the classical "sustained threat that bad things are about to happen" kind of horror, rather than body horror, weird horror, or whatever).

I also enjoyed The Strange Case of Starship Iris, however I find that 3 of the 5 main characters have very similar voices/accents and I struggle to distinguish them. I stopped listening after 1 season because of that, even though the podcast is excellent besides that, with nice character dynamics and a sort of "found family" feel.

I also love Wooden Overcoats, a comedy set in a funeral parlour, however I think I probably shouldn't describe it as a femslash podcast. One of the main characters is sapphic and her girlfriend is a recurring secondary character, but they don't get together until one of the later seasons.
