A movie rec today : Thelma

It's a Norwegian horror queer movie with a touching, tragic heroine and an ambiguous ending. I loved the reveals (especially about her family), and the imagery.
I don't want to spoil too much. It's about a country girl from a very religious family going to uni, falling in love with a woman, and her guilt manifests as violent seizures and mysterious psychic abilities.

- If you want some canon f/f and a general comedy, I'd recommend the movie Illusive Tracks / Skenbart. It's about events that transpire on a train. The f/f part of the story is a bit of a spoiler, though, so I'd recommend going into the movie blind.
- A nostalgic favorite of mine is The Apple War / Äppelkriget, a comedy/fantasy film from the 70s that is a fun romp. A small town is about to be bought up by a foreign business person and the local nature spirits, witches & co do their best to make sure that doesn't happen.
- A horror/urban fantasy series called The Afflicted / De drabbade, which apparently inspired the US show Heroes a little bit. It's about regular, modern day people suddenly gaining magical powers and being forced into a strange two-sided secret war.
- A scifi show called Real People / Äkta människor about group of robots gaining sentience in a near future.
- Anything by the author Karin Tidbeck. They write excellent fantasy and weird fiction, some edging into horror territory.
Hope I managed to recommend something you haven't seen/read yet!
