10) Favourites tropes for femslash ships?

So, last year I did my list of ship dynamics I love. It had:
* Would-be betrayer/victim more lovable than planned
* Interspecies
* Enemies who understand each other too well
* Magical character/science character
* Boss/Smitten submissive underling
* Nerds nerding together
* Shy person/the one who insists to be their friend
* Happily married

And you now, they all work as femslash. Everything I love works as femslash. Tragedy (with a hopeful ending maybe)? Enemies forced to work together? Romantically watching stars together? Mind control? Pining and mutual pining? Competence kink? Give me all this.

There are some tropes I love better in slash and femslash, because it emphasizes the fact the characters can't rely on gender expectations. Like, thinking you're doing the seduction when it's actually the other way around? Works better to me for m/m or f/f.

Now, are there some tropes I love better for femslash?
I can't think of any now, but there are sexy clothes that I love better for women (like corsets or lingerie or pretty dresses) so I love them better in femslash sexy art ^^

It's interesting how you like your tropes and that they work for femslash too. I find I am more restrictive, I like some tropes only for het, others only for slash. Femslash certainly has some tropes I like better for it too.

Het claims most hurt/comfort tropes for me. Especially hurt/comfort in the rain (I have no idea why). Slash is better for the nastier kink tropes and noncons, like I've been fine with A/B/O drugged-noncon watersports in slash ships, but there is no way I would want to read that in het or femslash. For femslash I do prefer seeing late night bonding and friends to lovers.
But of course I have some general tropes I like that are good to read wherever they are, like age difference.

Everything I love works as femslash.

Too true!! And, imo, so many tropes are better with femslash 😍

Like class S/boarding school 😍 That one episode of Flip Flappers where Papika and Cocona were in a school was delicious. And characters who are mutually oblivious about each other's feelings 😍 And some tropes like "All Girls Want Bad Boys" (with bad girls, of course), "Ladykiller in Love" -- I think these are better with women, at least for me!

That's fair! I agree they work equally, but all-boys boarding schools are very different from all-girls.
