When I was still at the beginning of Princess Tutu, I took a look at the fandom and the main ship was Fakir/Ahiru. I was like, why? He's an asshole to her. If anything they like the same guy. Why do girls always get shipped with the guy who's an asshole to them?
And then I watched the rest of the show and the way their relationship changed, the way it's slowly built, and it was good enough to make me forget my first bad impression, and also the fact that I like better shipping slash. At the end, I loved their relationship a lot, and I wanted it to be even more shippy. It's my favourite ship in the show now. ^^
