Time for the question that are only for people who watch anime and don’t only read manga!

So, my very favourites are the Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu openings.

First one for the voice and the lyrics:

Usurahi Shinjuu

I love you, truly love you – I’ll give it all to you! No – I hate you,
Really hate you – give it back after all, this instant! I’m kidding… But it’s too late now – let’s say our prayers!
Every part of this is tied up with you!
I’m fully aware: happiness and misfortune pass in a moment’s breath.
This chilled, yet warm hand has sampled all there is to taste; I don’t think,
There’s any more we can get out of this, my hateful beloved… Saying goodbye should hurt,
But it feels so good; those days have long passed. I want to put an end,
To this life caught at a standstill…
The ice grows thin. I’m all alone.

Second one has better pictures, even if the song stayed less in my head. it’s still wonderful.

Imawa no shinigami

Now, the sorrowful dead cry weepingly
Now, the joyful dead crack an upside-down smile

Life is always a quivering, uncertain flame
It burnt out, it fades away
I love you, who are you? I can't seem to remember
Although I remember so clearly, the way I clung to that sleeve

Now, at this point, the details remain vague, amid the darkness

And since I can’t have a post with only recent anime, have the Utena opening! It always does something to me. part of thing is nostalgia. Part of it is lesbianism. But part of it is it being good too!

Rinbu Revolution (Shoujo Kakumei Utena)

Also, have some links to some good openings from I-don’t-know-if-it’s-shoujo shows! The problem with anime that are not adaptations of manga!
