Length: One movie, about two hours.
Happy ending or not? It's mostly sad. they don't end up together. But no one dies, and it's clear that having had this love is something they will never regret
Who is the wlw? The two main characters.
Is there other representation? No.
Warnings? Forced marriage, abortion (presented in a positive light), mentions of suicide
What about the plot? 18th century, on an island that's part of French Britain. Héloïse must marry an Italian noble she doesn't know. Part of the courtship is to send her portrait, and she refuses to pose. Héloïse's mother hires Marienne, a (rare, at the time) woman painter who becomes her lady in waiting and has to watch her in order to be able to paint her without her knowledge.
How good it is? It's a beautiful love story with beautiful scenery, I loved it and I loved the mythological references.
