Femslash February Challenge: Day 21
Feb. 21st, 2021 09:49 amDay 21 of female-centered stories with canon wlws!
Gunnerkrigg Court by Tom Siddell

Length: Long! We're at 79 chapters, 2430 pages, and it doesn't seem close to the end.
Happy ending or not? Who can tell?
Who is the wlw? ( it takes a while )
Is there other representation? Nothing big; the background is moderately multiethnic.
Warnings? Death. Weirdness, including psychologically hurtful magical weirdness.
What about the plot? Antimony lived her life in an hospital: her father was a doctor, her mother was sick. She had nothing to talk to here, except for ghosts. When her mother dies, she's sent to a school of weird science named Gunnerkrigg Court. Here she makes a friend, Kat, who likes robots and mad science.
Outside the school there's a forbidden big forest, in this forest there are magical creatures. But magical and weird science, in this world, don't always get along as well as Antimony and Kat.
It starts slice of life, and then, every little anecdote is slowly revealed to be part of a big plot.
How good it is? I love it! I must say, you must be in it for the long run and not be afraid or a plot that grows and grows.
But the worldbuilding is so good, every detail matter, I love the friendship between Antimony and Kat deeply, every little scene can be both adorable and well-thought with foreshadowing. The art is weird at first but grows better and better.
