Day 20 of female-centered stories with canon wlws!

Angela: Queen of Hel by Kieron Gillen, Marguerite Bennett and Stephanie Hans

Length: Ha ha, so to have the whole story, you need to read three wolumes of comics: Angela: Asgard's Assassin, 1602: Witch Hunter Angela and Angela: Queen of Hel
It can help to read Original Sin: Thor and Loki: The Tenth Realm before, if you're familial with Thor but not with Angela, it explains where she's from.
Theoretically, you can't understand 1602: Witch Hunter Angela without the whole context, but you know. I just let myself with the flow. You just have to know it's Marvel, sometimes alternate universes interact with the main one for no reason.

Happy ending or not? Yes IF you stop at Angela: Queen of Hel. It's a complete story, but you can count on Marvel to have other writers spoiling everything.

Who is the wlw? Angela! And Sera, of course.

Is there other representation? Sera is trans.

Warnings? Sera is dead at the beginning; it's very much a "travel to the realm of the dead for your ex-girlfriend" quest. Also, of course, fantasy violence. It's a superhero story.

What about the plot? Angela is an angel; they are a lawful neutral species, and she's a hired killer. When she learns that she actually is related to the Asgardians, it will make her have an identity crisis.

How good it is? I love the art so much. I love the mythological atmosphere, and how it plays with angels' ethics are based on respect of deals. It's really an epic quest for the sake of f/f love. <3
