* Ah, sometimes I have a ship that has potential to be awful (in a porny way or in a tragic way) but that would ruin the message of the show. Or have very homophobic implications. It's the case for Ford/Dipper in Gravity Falls where I love the potential of identity porn when Ford was just "the Author".
* But sometimes it would ruin nothing, and I'm still glad it's not canon? Like, Wen Ning/Wei Wuxian in Mo dao zu shi. I love their story, really feel Wen Ning's non-canon crush, and I still respect the author for not wanting to follow the love triangle route.
