Femslash February : Day 9
Feb. 9th, 2022 01:42 pm9) Do you feel like shipping femslash is different from shipping slash, het or other? How?
so, it's different to me, because when I do a generic exchange, it's still super-rare that I get a femslash prompt. So, I'm doing other exchanges centered on femslash just to have my pretty prompts. ^^
I also very rarely get prompts for non-binary characters. So, yeah, I guess femslash is in the same category as "other" here. Frequency-wise.
Also, in average, femslash events are more multifandom than slash ones. It's necessary to gather a critical mass of participants (there are exceptions, of course)
I don't feel like it's different to me in terms of relating to the characters, but to be honest, gender is not a very important thing to me.
Oh, and often, I feel like I will have less readers. But it's not always the case, I have a lot of rare ships tha aren't femslash at all.
