So, I'm not talking about my fandoms enough, and we could be in the same fandom and not now, that's why I'm doing this meme again

OK, let's do these together! I had read first volume in 2017, it was a selection of the manga club that I had never heard about before. I found it alright, but not exceptional, and found the writing of the only female character frustrating. It didn't buy the next ones.
(I must add I have spent years on a videogame where you're having skills as food preservation and cooking and you're experimenting to see which monsters will curse you when you eat them and which ones will give you superpowers. So the concept was not especially new to me. I also had a "what's the point of a cooking manga if you can't try the recipes at home" moment)
Recently, as it's been popular, it's been on my dash a lot on tumblr, and I was like. Damn there are things in this manga. Necromancy? Demons? More than one female character. So yeah I gave it a second chance, and I'm enjoying it now.

4) If I'm interested in fanfic/fanart
I have already looked at a lot of fanart, as it's quite popular these days. For fanfic, I'm waiting to know how it ends - it's the last of the list because I'm still going through it, I'm reading volume 13 right now.

5) If I'm tempted to write about it

Maybe, but I'll see after the end, here too. Depends how it ends for Falin. Her arc is leaving me extremely frustrated.

6) Favorite characters
There's no one that stands out, it's more a low level of "I love everyone in this bar", mostly Laois, Senshi, Marcille, Chilchuck and Falin.

7) Favorite ships
Falin/Marcille, I'm basic there.

8) Favorite parts
Falin's resurrection, the horror of demons eating people's desires.

9) Why I would rec it
Depends to whom. But for myself, the points that stand out is: interest in dungeon ecosystems, and a dungeon crawling story that has an interesting, slow burn, answer to "what do dungeons come from?"
I might mention the necromancy too, in this context, even if usually it's just me. "resurrection spells work, but only there, because it changes the link between the body and the soul" is part of the interesting worldbuilding.

10) One of its biggest flaws
I already said this but it frustrates me that Falin doesn't get to be more than a dead little sister/friend/love interest, even after she's technically no longer dead. Still hopîng for the end to fix it.

Falin/Marcille was SO strange to me when the fandom got bigger after the anime. I never shipped them when I read it. Tbf, there isn't much romance or romantic tension in the canon. Well, I like the idea of Kabru/Mithrun and Inutade/Izutsumi.

Yes, I advanced and Kabru/Mithrun is good! Could get into Thistle/Delgal too.
OH yeah Marcille and Falin isn't really about tension, it's the classic shipping the deep friendships.

Yeah, it's a shame fandom values romance over friendship.

Ah, I guess it's about projecting the queer experience of being secretly in love with your friends, more than about valuing?

That would make more sense - projecting. But I guess most ships are projecting anyway.

After looking again, I can analyze my feelings more: Falin has, finally, very few scenes where she's herself and that are centered on her, and flashbacks about the magic school with Marcille are the biggest part of them.
