Day 18: Favorite Shoujo Friendship
Favorite Shoujo Friendship in an anime : Wakaba and Utena (Shoujo Kakumei Utena)
Supportive friends! Mutual support even in the darkest times! I love when Wakaba convinces Utena to NOT try and be normal. I love when Utena refuses to draw her sword against Wakaba, even when she’s brainwashed.
Favorite Shoujo Friendship in a manga : Aya and Rika - and all the girls actually (they all coalesce, but Rika and Aya were the center (KareKano)
Of course Yukino should be here too! I just didn’t find the right pic.
I love the memory of Rika and Aya meeting and being compared to Sanzo and the Monkey King. I love the small conversations between them, the inside jokes, the supportiveness, and I adore the arc where they do a play together! (which, unfortunately, isn’t in the anime, not in full)
