I won't do them in one time. So, let's begin by my beloved ninth division. :-)

Spoilers, of course, until the very last chapters.

It all began when I did a test "Which division shinigami do you belong to ?". I got 9th division, with some text saying they were the pacifists in Seireitei, and a picture of Tousen making be find that I already loved them, even if I hadn't seen them in the manga. :-) (Besides, I'm a scientist, and I absolutely didn't want to be in 12th division, so I was happy.)

OK, so I was introduced to them in the manga, and I really love pacifists, so at the beginning at least I was not disappointed - not too much. I loved Tousen's flashbacks about his dead friend, I loved how he cried when he hit Ishida, and his bankai was very scary. Of course, he wasn't shown as someone which is right, but there's just something about misguided idealisme that I love. OK, I didn't know how much it would be misguided then.

OK, Shuuhei I liked less. He was too much a decorative item for me (I often call him that ^^;; ). Of course, he seemed like a OK person. His attitude in the academy flashback was really good, first making students flee, then calling for help and then trying to buy time, there was courage that you find in almost every shinigami, but also a kind of humility, in having no shame to call for help, which is a lot rarer and which I liked. But he has no real development, less than most of the vice-captains. I was a little disappointed ; I knew he had a lot of fans, and i hadn't figured it was just for his looks. (Besides, I think that Tousen looks even better. But it's just me.)

Then tome 20.

I won't hide I was highly disapponted. Until recently, I thought I was the only one who was more disturbed by Tousen's treason than by Aizen's (I found another one since. And we agree too on the "the main reason we don't like Aizen is because it's his fault that Tousen is on the wrong side.")

I almost decided I didn't him anymore. At least, until I knew why he did that, how Aizen convinced him.

But when i saw Komamura and Hisagi talking near his friend's grave, and they were not so much angry, just sad, and they decided they would bring him back, I thought that someone who had such friends couldn't be really evil, could he ? And I loved him again. And I loved better Shuuhei, at this time. I decided there was more in him that we had been shown. Because he gave me good example. :-) (I loved Komamura more, too. But it's off topic.)

Most of all, I want to know why Tousen chose Aizen's side. There are a lot of things which interest me in Bleach, but this one is the more important right know (even more that "what will happen to him ?") When I heard about the end of chapter 211, with his hand on Suzumushi, I was both thoroughly happy and very, very afraid "He will be evil, and I will cry." So... waiting for 212 !

I have written about Tousen and Hisagi relationship, too. The piece I made you beta, in addition to a set of themes for une_phrase, the French version of 1sentence. I try to convince people they're interesting.

A fun thing what happened to me : when a friend told me about this chapter, she was very excited "There is Tousen in the last chapter !" and at the end of her ramblings, there were the neutral sentence "I hope you realize it's entirely your fault if I react like this."

I want more people telling me things like that. :-)

The second part of ninth division ramblings, because the first try was too long. :-)

I'd like to read more fics and see more art about them. Not only pairings-with-Shuuhei-because-he's-sexy, you know. Real fics about the ninth division. And more fics about Tousen in general.

Now, how I feel about pairings about them.

For Tousen, I can't see him otherwise than still mourning about his dead friend. (Yeah, everyone says it was her friends, but isn't it obvious he was in love with her ?) But fics about him are so rare that I read even
the ones with pairings I don't like. Including Tousen/Komamura (It's friendship. Real friendship. But I think as long as it's platonic I can read it.). Tousen/Retsu (their relationship coul be interesting indeed,
but I don't know what romance adds to it.) Tousen/Shuuhei (I really don't see it like that, but it always makes fics about ninth division, and in fanart it is highly aesthetic, so it's OK I think) and some even
rarer and stranger things I won't even mention. :-)

And for Shuuhei... I hate Shuuhei/Yumichika (OK, there's a dirty joke about them. But it doesn't justify fluff about this pairing of all things !). Most of the rest is okay... I have a weakness for
Shuuhei/Isane but it's utter crack. I don't hate post-Soul Society arc Shuuhei/Kira, but it's maybe even more cracky, even if they know each other.

I'll do the others another time ! (Now it's time to eat.)

Then, KenChiru.

I love Yachiru. I just have a thing for little girls who kill people.

I am not the kind of person who should love the 11th division, really. I know they're really popular, but there's something in their way of seeing fights, life and death which makes me very uncomfortable. So I love them mainly for crack, in which this kind of considerations don't play. But there is an exception, and it's the relation between Kenpachi and Yachiru. I fact, I started to like Kenpachi because of her. I don't know whether i would have liked him otherwise. It's incredibly cute. One of the best captain/vice-captain relationships.

I'd like to write or read about them. But it's difficult to find serious fics about their relationship. Fics which could be as cute as they are cute together, without forgetting they kill people. I want to read fics about Yachiru killing, the mix of cuteness, necessity and sheer amorality in it. Is this only possible ?

So, we weren't talking about 11th division, we were talking about the pairing. I have nothing against it, really. I usually don't see their relationship like that, but just for a fic, there is no problem for me. It's a possibility. It can be extremely cute - even if I'm not sure it's cuter than father/daughter relationship, it can be as much cute, and it is already a lot ! - And there are good ones ! elica took this pairing in une_phrase, and she did well.

YoruSoi, and it'll be finished (and I'm not even sure, since I envision the possibility of talking about Tousen again after reading chapter 212. You'll be bored. :-) )

I don't think I already told you, but the first time I heard about Bleach, there was in a yuri and shoujo ai forum. They were talking about Chizuru, about Orihime and Tatsuki, and someone said "very recently, there was another possibility, which is almost canon - at least, one-sided canon".

All these comments were one of the reasons I bought Bleach when it was released in France. :-)

So, I had a very good a priori about this pairing. Even if i didn't like Yoruichi or Soi Fong so much before their fight, afterthat I never thought about Soi Fong otherwise than "cute little Soi Fong". And I liked Yoruichi a little more. Even if I don't like the way she left Soi Fong without a word of goodbye. it's so sad !

I want to believe that it was not entirely one-sided, that something happened to them before Yoruichi left. I usually manage this part quite well. :-)

I'd like to believe that there can be something for them in the future, but here I'm not sure i can believe it. Why couldn't we see their goodbyes at the end of Soul Society arc ! I wanted to know ! Really ! Do you know some fics about that ? Do you think they had a serious discussion ?

I said I would ramble again about Tousen when I've read chapter 212, and since you're back... I will now.

In chapter 212, I was almost relieved... I was thinking "OK, he came and stopped the fight, at least Aizen uses it for tasks which suit him." Not really development, but he was not evil, at least.

In 213... I was utterly shocked and went all "Oh my god my captain turned psycho."

Not that he was not right, in a way. What Grimmjow did was against Aizen's plan, in addition to going against Tousen's ethics (well, against everything which looks like ethics), so he deserved something... It was not what he did which scared me, it was his anger, and how he liked doing that. Even when he fought Kenpachi (and he hated him), he was not so angry, he has still some calmness. Not anymore.

Maybe it's because he became half-hollow, and there's something in hollows which craves for suffering and blood, and he tries to believe he hasn't changed (but in my opinion, he can't do that much longer)

Maybe it's only because Aizen changed him. He can do what he wants of anyone...

I resent Aizen for playing with him like this. Aizen always seemed to me... well, the kind of person which won't hesitate to commit all kinds of evil deeds, but only if it will serve his plans, not for the sheer pleasure of it like Gin does. But I'm not sure about it anymore. He was playing here. Gin said it, and he knows that kind of things. :-)

Besides, Aizen calls him "Kaname", which made me angry again, the kind of anger "Hey, there was only one person who called him like him, even Komamura didn't, and she's dead ans you're not her and I don't want you having any comon points with her and I really, really don't want to think about Aizen/Tousen... too late.

I don't even know whether you will read it, but I still nedd to talk about it. ^^;
